Building Feminist Leadership of Women and Girls from Marginalised Communities in Assam

The project is working in Masjida Bhita Char in Barpeta District with 84 adoloscnet girls and young women.

Objective: ·To build capacities and document experiences of adoloscent girls and young women to ensure continuation of education till at leact class XII and prevent child and early marraige.

Duration: November 2019 to July 2020

Livelihood Generation for Mothers of Girl Children in Masjidbhita Char

Supported by: WLTC

The project aims to support mothers of girls children with livelihood generation activities like kheta (cottton quilts) making and striching-tailoring.

Obejctives: Support family income increase through local livelihood activities for women to encourage spending on girl child's education

Duration: April 2020 to March 2021


Feminist Leadership Training Programme

This WLTC core programme aims at building leadership of grassroots women with feminist understanding and participatory tools for community action.

Objective: To support women's leadership with understanding of gender, patriarchy and social discrimination. And to provide women with feminist participatory tools to analyse barriers for equality and inititae social action

Duration: Every year

WLTC follows a 4 session module each year for a group of 20 to 30 women from different communities. Participants are supported to continu action on ground after completion of the programme
